Master’s (MSc) Degree
The MSc program is a research-based program consisting of coursework, a teaching assistantship, and completion of a written thesis document and oral thesis defence. MSc students will hone their observational, technological, and critical thinking skills and gain valuable research experience that will advance their scientific interests, depth of knowledge, and scope of career prospects.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
The PhD program is a research-based program consisting of coursework, a teaching assistantship, publication of original research, presentation of an exit seminar, and completion of a written thesis document and oral thesis defence. PhD students will become experts in their field of research and grow into independent, critical, and creative thinkers with original contributions to research.

Doctor of Medicine/Doctor of Philosophy (MD/PhD) Degree
The combined MD/PhD program is a seven-year program offered jointly by the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. The program provides the opportunity to combine medical school experience with intensive scientific training for students pursuing careers as clinician-scientists.
